In the nucleus of Bedano, in a historic 18th century building protected by the Canton by virtue of the historical uniqueness of the place (Nicolò Rusca was born in 1563 in Bedano, recently beatified by Benedict XVI and over two centuries ago the Russian general Souvorov passed and stayed with his troops) numerous apartments have been created characterized by a unique, romantic and prestigious character. The "Residenza Al Rustico" Project.
The project, curated by M2 Solutions, Lucio La Chimia's former company, involved an important sector, consisting of 4 buildings, in the old core of the municipality of Bedano. The buildings are divided and named as follows: BUILDING A - NEW BUILDING AL MAPP. 162/159 BUILDING B - RESTORATION AT MAPP. 162 BUILDING C RENOVATION AT MAPP. 162 BUILDING D - RENOVATION AT MAPP. 163 COMMON STAIRCASE COMPARTMENT BUILDINGS A B C AL MAPP. 162
BUILDING A Considered to be in too advanced conditions of decay to be able to envisage a restructuring, it has been demolished. A new building was built on the same perimeter, with 4 floors above ground, which completed the front along the cantonal road at a volumetric level. BUILDING B It is a cultural property protected at the cantonal level. It was a “conservative” renovation aimed at restoring the residential function according to current standards. BUILDING C It has also been renovated in order to restore its residential function, adapting it to current standards. Unlike building B, there are no protection restrictions on the building. However, vaults dating back to the 18th century are reported in two rooms on the ground floor and have been maintained. BUILDING D It is a rural construction (stable and barn) which is transformed into a dwelling. The result was a single-family house independent from the other buildings Buildings A, B and C, connected vertically by a newly built common staircase.
